The GDPR-Scanner helps you finding embedded cookies, services, and scripts that may violate GDPR requirements on your Website. Use the Cookie Report to make your website compliant with GDPR by implementing the rules in your Cookie Banner & Manager.

How Does Cookie Scanning Work?

  1. Our scanner uses a headless browser to simulate a real visitor.
  2. It analyzes cookies, scripts, and embedded content like iframes.
  3. You can use a custom sitemap.xml to focus on specific pages or create an account to get the max out of this tool.

Read and understand the Cookie-Report

Important note: If you scan as a guest (not logged in), you will always see a generic report.
If you want to personalize the scan or classify unknown services, register an account on Coding-Freaks and create your website as a project. In the project, you can restructure services and personalize the detection mechanism to handle unknown services correctly.

Use our Scan-Management to get free weekly or monthly reports and track privacy changes on your website to stay compliant.

Cookie Scanner Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I scan more than 10 pages?

To scan more than 10 pages, you need to create an account and get a free API key. This ensures we avoid misuse and bot traffic.

  1. Sign in or create an account.
  2. Use the Backend Scanner or the API Integration and access the "Advanced Options" to increase the scan limit.

How do I integrate the scanner into my website?

You don’t need to do that. The Scanner is an external crawler your page just needs to be accessible from the internet so we can scan it.
You only need to integrate the Consent Banner using our plugins or your own custom implementation in any framework.

What should I do with the final report?

  • Remove unnecessary services or cookies from your website or classify them and load them compliant.
  • Implement required cookies and services into your Cookie Banner for GDPR compliance.

Why is the report incomplete or not displayed?

If some tabs are missing or the report doesn’t load:

  • Check if you’re using Brave or an ad-blocker extension. Disable these for the scanning results page to avoid false positives and ensure proper display of the report.

Scanner issues and Scan errors

If the scanner returns an error and no results, there may be several reasons for this.
The most common cause is web firewalls, such as Cloudflare DDoS protection.
Our crawler cannot solve JavaScript challenges or CAPTCHAs, and therefore it is unable to crawl those websites.

Please add our crawler to your WAF firewall whitelist, or alternatively, provide the target pages directly via a sitemap.xml file so that crawling is not required.
